International Customs, Duties & Taxes
By placing an international order, you acknowledge that your parcel may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, or other charges imposed by the destination country's customs authority.
To help create a seamless shopping experience, Harper Clare collects applicable duties and taxes at checkout through our shipping partner. Where applicable, customs clearance fees are prepaid prior to your order being dispatched from Australia.
Our goal is to minimise unexpected charges and ensure your order moves through customs as smoothly as possible.
While every effort is made to account for applicable charges before shipping, customs authorities in some countries may occasionally impose additional fees, taxes, tariffs, or handling charges upon arrival. Any such additional costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
Harper Clare is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing and is unable to refund orders refused due to unpaid customs charges or additional government-imposed fees.
If you are unsure about potential import requirements for your country, we recommend contacting your local customs office prior to placing your order.
For our USA customers: applicable duties and taxes are calculated at checkout through Zonos and remitted prior to shipping wherever possible, helping to reduce the likelihood of unexpected customs charges upon delivery.
Unpaid Duties & Returned Parcels
If an international order is returned to Harper Clare due to unpaid duties, taxes, customs charges, or because the parcel was refused by the recipient, the original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Any duties, taxes, customs fees, or carrier charges incurred as a result of the return may be deducted from any refund issued, where applicable.
If you would like your order re-shipped, a new shipping fee will apply, as the original shipping charge covers the initial delivery attempt only. Re-shipping costs must be paid in full before the order can be dispatched again.
We strongly recommend reviewing your country's import requirements prior to placing an order to help avoid unexpected delays, charges, or return-to-sender situations.
